Executive coaching service
“You cannot teach a man anything. You can only help him discover it within himself.”
- Galileo
What is coaching?
Our coaching helps coachees to think and act differently in order to achieve work and life goals. It does this through a process of personal reflection, discovery and action, guided by a skilled coach. A coach is not a mentor, therapist or trainer, but an ally that will help you release your potential.
How it can help your organisation
Coaching is about change for an individual or group; initiating it, dealing with it, making it happen. Coaching offers a high potential return on investment for organisations for:
- Executives, wanting to achieve more in their business lives
- Managers, wanting to fully exploit their skills
- High achievers who have reached a plateau
- Individuals, dealing with personal or performance issues
As a result of coaching, an organisation can expect to see:
- Increased drive and performance
- Individuals developing the attitudes and abilities to go to the next level
- Improved internal and external relationships
- Increased staff retention and lower sickness absence
- Flexible attitudes that deal better with change
What we offer
We offer trained, qualified and accredited coaches who can meet individual needs. Coaching is a personal relationship and it is important that the coach and coachee match well. Creative Difference can offer several different associates with varied coaching styles and skill sets to fit most requirements.
Our core model is a series of sessions through which the coach works with the coachee towards goals identified by sponsor and coachee at the start of the relationship. During the relationship these goals may change as the awareness of the coachee changes. The agenda is in the hands of the coachee, subject to the requirements of the client (in a situation where the client is an organisation rather than the individual being coached). The diagram below illustrates this model, showing some of the knowledge resources we bring, and themes that will run through sessions (click on it for a larger image).
We offer telephone or face to face sessions.
Telephone coaching: Six sessions of half an hour each, either once a week or every fortnight. NFP £250, private sector £450.
Face to face: Six sessions of one and a half hours each, every two to five weeks. NFP £785, private sector £1050.
We can provide individual sessions on request.
If you are not sure if coaching is for you or your organisation, try a free half hour telephone ‘taster’ session. Contact chris.paul@creativedifference.org.uk to discuss your specific requirements, or call 07515 759 587.
We follow the AoEC codes of Practice and Ethics, available on request.

Testimony sent by a client:
“Working with Chris provided me with the much needed space to improve my effectiveness. I needed to look at the core of how I could develop more effective management skills, in a context where I’m having to juggle multiple priorities; regular coaching provided that framework. I found the sessions invaluable to help me identify and prioritise my own development, rather than just reacting to the daily competing demands. Chris’s thorough, methodical approach was ultimately effective in helping me form solutions to the barriers I was encountering. It also helped me develop confidence in my own abilities as I started to implement the solutions that I had formed with Chris’s input.”

Testimony from another client, a voluntary sector manager:
“Having not had or experienced coaching before, I wasn’t sure what to expect and was wary about the whole process. I hoped it was going to be of some benefit to me in my professional role and would therefore have a positive impact on my work place in terms of how I engaged with my work colleagues, as well as how I dealt with things. As it turned out, it proved to be a very useful process, both professionally and personally.
“The most beneficial aspect of the coaching sessions was having the opportunity to reflect on my practice away from the work place, with an ‘objective’ person not associated with my employer. This enabled me to be honest and open about the things I wanted to work on, which meant the sessions had more meaning/relevance for me.
“Since the coaching sessions have ended, I have missed having time and space away from work to reflect on my practice but also, being able to talk with someone about how work is affecting me or what things I want to work on. Being given ‘homework’, where I worked on things from session to session, really helped me develop and improve my confidence in dealing with things, especially difficult situations. Over the period of time that I had my coaching sessions, I noticed my confidence slowly grow and I felt more equipped to deal with the things I needed to, both in and outside of work.
“I would definitely recommend having the opportunity to have coaching; especially if there are elements of how you work, etc that you want to improve – it was of great use to me during the time I had it and would have liked it to continue in order to really reach my full potential.”
